This blog in intended to track Cavi and Devon's puppies from before birth until they go to their forever homes. Comments are welcome. Please register for this site.

Our home seems a little empty.  3 puppies have left for their wonderful homes.  Our orange girl Pennylane’s Lucky In Love (Hussy) is home with Sharon Asbell.  She had her first flight to San Francisco.  Holly met me half way between SLC and Vegas to pick up Yellow collar girl Pennylane’s Lucky Charm (Charm) that is  Barb Piorkowski’s in Las Vegas. .  And Burgundy collar boy Pennylane’s Pot of Luck (Cooper) will be going on a longer trip to his home with Mark Rettenmaier tomorrow morning.  We are so lucky to have these little ones go to such wonderful homes.

We have Holly girl Pennylane’s Luck of the Irish (Irish) with us for a little while, and Ben and I are keeping the Blue collar boy  who will be named Pennylane’s Lucky Strike (Striker).  The Black collar boy Pennylane's Luck of the Draw (Ace)  will be here with us till we find a show home.  He is just as stunning as the boy that I have chosen to keep.

My kids found one of their old toys from years ago and gave it to the puppies. Well it is a hit. A lot of noise, yet a lot of fun for them.

Today the puppies discovered stairs and carpet thanks to Ben. Orange girl and Burgundy boy were the first up. Burgundy boy thought it was so cool he did it two more times.

I can’t be more pleased with their progress.  They walk into each new situation with no problem.

Today when I was walking by my washer and dryer I think heard the washer yell out “I want next weekend off”.   Ok, that was my attempt at being funny.  But seriously..  Those two metal contraptions have not stopped running all day.

Today I fired up the shopvac to see how the puppies would react…  Well, they just looked at it and went back to playing.

You would not believe that Steve did!  It was Sunday morning (Mother Day), about 20 minutes before Dobermans were to enter the ring.  Holly looked up, and to much of her surprise there was Steve.  He came to see her for Mothers Day.  Can you believe this man?!?!?.

Holly and I were walking through the venders looking at all the wonderful things for humans and dogs alike when I spotted a beautiful bracelet, and a wonderful dog bed for the puppies.  Of course Holly noticed what I was looking at; she later asked me which I would like for a mothers day present.  Being a new mom of 6 beautiful babies I opted for the dog bed.  And our puppies just love it!, and so do I.

Later, after the show Steve stopped by to see the puppies, and my children, (young adults).  As always he had my kids smiling for ear to ear.  It is amazing how this man can make children feel like they are the most important person in the world.  It has been a blessing to have Holly and Steve in my children's lives.  He also said that...

It is wonderful to have Holly here again.  And the timing couldn’t be better.  The puppies are 4 weeks, and we have a wonderful dog show to attend.  Even though I have a very good eye for dogs, Holly said the puppies are beautiful.

Cavi is starting to wean then as expected.  She still goes in a couple times a day.  And enjoys seeing the first thing in the morning.  The puppies are truly Pennylane!, they know how to clean their plate.  By Monday I think they will be up to 3 feedings a day.  Well, the last load of laundry need to be washed, and the puppies put into their bed.  It has been a great day!

I gave the puppies their first meal from the kitchen today. I think they liked it. At least they at most of it. Then they had fun little sponge baths.

If you would like to see the little ones when the web cam isn’t on you can call me at 801.39737470.  My name is Roberta

it seems like yesterday our little ones arrived, yet when I look into the whelping box I see how much they have grown.  They are starting to play with each other, and then there is the barking.  They are just a little too young to tell no bark to.  In fact I enjoy hearing it. Teeth are starting to come in, and we’ll see how long Caviar will take it.  I’ll try and update photos tomorrow.

The puppies are Doberman!  They have just had their whiskers trimmed and nails done with the Dremel.

Just a little training…

The puppies are just wonderful.  Sweet and loving just as they should be.  They love being kissed on the side of their faces.  Their eyes are opening.  WOW this has been another wonderful day with Cavi’s and Devon’s babies.
